Due to the fact that fire-resistant overhead doors are highly suitable for applications in areas where the regulations apply or ATEX-137 areas, strict requirements often also apply with regard to fluid controllability. In the event of a calamity and/or to control extinguishing water and/or pollutants, a liquid-retention barrier may be the solution.

Protec Industrial Doors has developed a liquid-retention barrier for this that can be integrated into the overhead doors. The liquid-retention barrier can be designed in various heights and is even standard possible up to 1000 mm in height. If your requirements go even further with regard to the height to be used, this can be done accordingly. Our possibilities for providing you with the right solution for a liquid-retention barrier are unique and unlimited.

The leakage loss of our liquid-retention barriers is almost zero. Our liquid-retention barrier has a maximum leakage loss of 1 litre per hour per metre length. This is in contrast with other solutions on the market that are integrated into a door or roller shutter, where the leakage loss can rise to a multiple of this.

The liquid-retention barrier is basically supplied integrated with the fire-resistant door, but it is also available as a stand-alone version, for example, for existing building situations where a fire-retarding wall is already present.
